It’s going to be a Marvel-lous reunion. Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson are reuniting in Apple’s journey film Ghosted, in accordance with The Hollywood Reporter. The duo performed the roles of Steve Rogers/Captain America and Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow in Marvel Cinematic Universe movies.
English filmmaker Dexter Fletcher, who final directed Elton John biopic Rocketman, is in command of the mission. Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are writing the script.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, the mission is “a high-concept romantic motion journey within the vein of Romancing the Stone.” Johansson and Evans labored collectively in three Avengers movies, Captain America: Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil Conflict.
Evans and Johansson will not be solely on-screen friends as Natasha and Steve, however they’re good associates in real-life too, as obvious in interviews. In addition they mentioned their respective tasks — Marriage Story and Knives Out, respectively — and Avengers: Endgame on Selection’s Actors on Actors video sequence. Other than MCU, they’ve labored collectively in The Excellent Rating (2004) and The Nanny Diaries (2007).
Scarlett, in the meantime, is engaged in a fierce authorized battle with Disney, the proprietor of Marvel Studios. The bone of rivalry is the hybrid launch (concurrently in theatres and on Disney+) of her standalone MCU film Black Widow, which, as per Scarlett, robbed her of $50 million price of bonuses.
Other than Ghosted, Scarlett may also be seen in Wes Anderson’s yet-untitled film.
Chris Evans, however, has tasks like sci-fi black comedy Don’t Look Up and action-thriller The Grey Man lined up.
