Raven, who stirred up controversy by making a logo of protest throughout Sunday’s medal ceremony, confirmed the heartbreaking information in a Twitter publish.
“My mama was an awesome girl and can without end dwell by me,” she stated. “My primary guardian angel. I’ll all the time and without end love you.”
Clarissa died in Orlando, Florida, The Publish and Courier reported. The mom had been staying within the metropolis for Olympic viewing events with different households of US athletes.
“It’s only a horrible blow for Raven and her household,” the Olympian’s longtime coach Herbert Johnson advised the newspaper.
